Seven Christmas photo scenarios

The existing scene previews illustrate festive transformations. Explore portrait, group and restored-family scenarios, then compare every face, outfit and small detail in your own result.

A portrait beside the tree

Transform a simple portrait into a decorated indoor setting with festive knitwear. Inspect the face, hair and hand position alongside the new background.

A portrait in falling snow

Use a winter scene with snowy surroundings, a coat and scarf. Compare facial features and pose while reviewing how the new clothing fits.

A group in the snow

Start with everyone visible in the same group photo, including five-person shots. Check each person, their position and any objects that matter in the scene.

A restored family print by the tree

Repair an old print first, then create a colorful holiday interpretation. Inspect small faces, clothing patterns and any inset portrait in the source.

An old family photo in winter

Reimagine a restored monochrome or sepia picture with winter colors and outerwear. Compare every person rather than assuming all outfits or fine details will change uniformly.

A portrait as a Christmas card

Choose Card for a snowy cabin setting and an English “Merry Christmas” greeting. Proofread the lettering and inspect faces before preparing a printed card.

A family photo with Santa

The Santa scene intentionally introduces Santa alongside the people in your source. Check the original group, the added character and any small portraits within the image.

How to make an AI Christmas photo

01

Choose your Christmas setting

Select Christmas tree, Snow, Card or Santa. The scene sets the festive background and outfit direction; no written prompt or set of training selfies is needed.

02

Add one photo and create the edit

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 15 MB and 40 megapixels with clear, visible faces. Review the scene and output format, then start the edit at 4 credits per image.

03

Review every face before saving

Compare the source and result with the slider. Inspect people, hands, framing and any greeting. Download the version you prefer; another run is a separate credit-based edit.

What the Christmas photo editor changes

This tool starts from your existing photograph and gives it a seasonal setting. The background and clothing are creative changes; keeping the original people recognizable is the goal. The Santa option deliberately adds Santa as part of the requested scene.

One clear portrait or group photo is enough. You do not need a set of selfies, personal-model training or a long ChatGPT prompt. Choose one of the four presets to set the direction, then inspect the generated image rather than assuming every face will be identical.

Black-and-white and sepia family pictures can become colorful festive interpretations. Repair scratches and tears before using an old print here, and keep the untouched original separately. Color and scene changes are creative, not a historical reconstruction.

Photos that are good starting points

Use clear portraits, couples, family groups, friends, coworkers or restored family prints. Faces should be visible, in focus and large enough to inspect. A tighter copy of a wide group shot can give each person more source detail.

Four scenes from one source image

Choose the setting for the picture you want to create, then review its specific changes.

  • Christmas tree: a decorated indoor setting with festive lights, gifts and Christmas knitwear.
  • Snow: a winter setting with falling snow, snowy trees and warm coats or scarves.
  • One photo, no written prompt: use the people already in your source without assembling a training set.
  • Credit-based full-size exports: each run uses 4 credits, with watermark-free downloads and the same treatment for packs and Pro.
  • Card: a snowy cabin scene with an English “Merry Christmas” greeting. Check the text before printing.
  • Santa: introduce Santa in festive clothing beside your original people. Review both the added figure and the existing group.

What to review in each festive scenario

The same scene can produce different details from one run to the next. Evaluate the people as closely as the decoration.

  • Tree portraits: compare the original face, hairstyle and hands after the outfit and indoor setting change.
  • Snow portraits: inspect eyes, pose and the edges where a coat or scarf meets the body.
  • Group photos: check every person, their position and any important props. Small or turned-away faces are harder to preserve.
  • Restored prints by the tree: inspect knitwear patterns and small inset portraits, if present. Invented patterns can contain stray lettering.
  • Restored prints in snow: compare each outfit separately; a model may retain some clothing details while replacing others.
  • Card portraits: proofread “Merry Christmas” and check that the text placement leaves the people readable.
  • Family photos with Santa: confirm that the original people remain recognizable and review any unrequested character or framing change.

Prepare a better Christmas photo

A strong source helps the scene edit keep the people you care about.

  • Use an evenly lit picture with faces in focus and mostly facing the camera.
  • Crop a copy around the group when a wide view leaves each face very small.
  • Repair damage to an old print before applying the Christmas scene, so scratches do not carry into the edit.
  • If a face or pose is unsuitable, compare another run of the same source. Each new generation uses the listed credits.

Know what a festive transformation can change

  • Faces can drift, especially when small, obscured or turned away. Compare each person before sharing or printing.
  • Clothing is intentionally restyled and framing can shift. Sweater patterns and small details are generated, sometimes with stray marks or letters.
  • Only Card requests the English greeting “Merry Christmas”. Proofread it; add custom wording separately to another scene if you need a different message.
  • This is a one-image scene edit per run, not a multi-image headshot package. No custom selfie-trained identity model is created.
  • Images are sent to a processing provider and have a 24-hour file window. Save the result you want to keep and consult the Privacy Policy.
